Diving equipment isn't cheap but there are a number of ways to offset the cost:
Hire Equipment
Useful in the short term to try out different equipment, learn to dive, but in the long term it is un-economical. Contact the hire company to see if they see ex-hire equipment.
Buy on Bulk
If a number of divers are looking for the same equipment, try and bargain a bulk discount from the supplier.
Online Auction sites
Lots of good quality second hand equipment is available on-line. Remember suits can be adjusted within reason and you may need to pay for new seals, zips.
Current Members
Divers love updating kit with the latest gadget, so usually someone in the club has something they are willing to sell, haggle with them for the best price.
