North Down BSAC
 
We are the North Down branch of BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club) the largest scuba diving club in the world. Our branch number is 0464.
 
We are an active club and dive regularly. Since we joined Ballyholme Yacht Club (BYC), our dive facilities are second to none, click on Our Equipment page for more details.


New Members 
We welcome new members to the club from the inexperienced to those divers with PADI, BSAC or SAA qualifications, for more information go to the Learn to Dive page for more details on how to join. 
 
Diving
Diving is what we do best! And we have some great dive sites on our door step, we run a full program of diving and enjoy both wreck and scenic drift dives in Belfast and Strangford Lough.  The club also organises regularly weekend breaks, to the North coast of Northern Ireland and into Donegal and beyond! NITROX
The club has full NITROX blending facilities and 8 in house BSAC trained NITROX blenders.
 
Self declaration - Medical Form
ALL divers must have completed  a self declaration form and given it to the Diving officer before they will be allowed on a club dive, a link to the forms is here Medical Form

 

Training

The new Training Schedule, please contact the Training Officer or sign the sheet in the compressor room to apply for one of the new courses.

 

 
Pool Training and Try Dive nights: Bangor pool has been hired for 2/06/09, 02/07/09 and 09/07/09 from 9pm

Help the club:  BYC are always looking for volunteers to help man the rescue boats and help out with events, why not try your hand at something different and help the club, leave your details with Helen in the BYC Office
